The Villages at Peace will be created in up to four phases of development, beginning Q1 of 2027 through Q3 of 2030. Our vision is for the Villages at Peace to be fully operational with all building, amenities and tenants in place by September 2030. This timeline is not set in stone and subject to change. However, the Beyond Us Collective is dedicated to maintain open and transparent communication for stakeholders to understand and participate in the development of the Villages at Peace.

We would like to break ground in Q1 of 2027 - but we have to raise funds. You can donate today to the Capital Campaign for Beyond Us and encourage others to do the same!

Construction in a community signals change is coming and in this case, the Villages at Peace represents an opportunity to leverage an integrated service model to address a major community crisis: homelessness. The community can expect construction noise, dust, and truck traffic on local streets. Traffic patterns can be temporarily rerouted and parking may get tighter. New buildings can block views or change the neighborhood's feel. Once finished, anticipate more residents, new amenities, and the availability of core community resources. Property values often rise, but so do rents. Schools and utilities may feel more strain. Some neighbors may push back through public meetings, petitions, or city council hearings. Others will welcome the growth and new amenities. Expect a mix of excitement and frustration. Change rarely pleases everyone. Staying informed early helps you shape the outcome and serve as an empowered community advocate for the Villages at Peace initiative.

We will be ADA compliant and are seeking guidance as "accessible" means something different for everyone. For some, they need higher beds, for some a low bed for transfers. We are taking all suggestions on how to accommodate for the largest variety of accessibility possible.

The Villages at Peace is designed to keep families together whenever possible by providing housing that allows parents and their children to remain as a family unit throughout the stabilization process. This includes accommodations that enable fathers, mothers, and children to live together while accessing comprehensive supportive services. Single adult men will continue to be housed at Frontline Response's Gresham Road campus and will be transported to the Villages at Peace to participate in support services.
